Split is the second largest city in Croatia
Split is the second largest city in Croatia and the largest in Dalmatia. Split has 180 000 inhabitants. The story of Split is already 17th century and dates back to the time when the Roman Emperor Diocletian decided to spend the rest of his life in a palace built on a peninsula near the great Roman city of Salona. The palace has slowly become a city that has attracted its rich tradition and the beauty of its natural and cultural heritage. Split is about 142 km away from Turn, if you decide on a modern highway. Just an hour's drive from our accommodation facilities.
Split is much more than a magnificent architectural masterpiece. The city is where you can enjoy top gastronomy and wine, find numerous cultural events in the city itself or in the surroundings.
When you get bored with the township, there is Marjan, hill symbol of the city, with its forests, runways, hiking and cycling, recreation grounds and ancient churches.
